Goofy first-person RPG adventure
The RPG: My First Dungeon Smells is a free role-playing game for PC developed by Dionysus Acroreites. In this first-person open-world RPG, players will take on the role of a budding adventurer preparing for their first dungeon run. They will explore labyrinths in search of treasure and uncover mysteries.
Compared to games like Kingdom Come: Deliverance II or Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, The RPG: My First Dungeon Smells takes on a more casual and lighthearted approach to gameplay and visuals. It also serves as a preview version for the full The RPG game release.
Your first dungeon
The RPG: My First Dungeon Smells is set in a fantasy world wherein you play a dopey adventurer who finds yourself stuck on Adventure Island, and the only way to get out is to participate in the local attraction called The Dungeon. You will explore various labyrinthine mazes in search of loot and to hone your skills through levelling up, while uncovering the secrets of this mysterious place.
My First Dungeon Smells strips away complex systems and focuses on combat and exploration. The dungeon attraction is essentially a large building with multiple floors to explore and conquer as you fight your way through mobs of enemies using a wide variety of weapons and magical spells. Plan for battle encounters by analyzing different enemy types and their weaknesses, as well as managing your ammo to come out victorious.
As you progress and reach the lower floors, you will come to know of The Dragon, who is controlling everything and somehow glitching the dungeon and your experience. Now, as mentioned earlier, it's important to note that this is just a short preview of the full version.
Fun and promising
All in all, if you're a fan of RPG adventures but want a more casual experience with a dash of humor, The RPG: My First Dungeon Smells is a simple yet fun game you can consider. From its quirky yet charming characters to its engaging combat, there's plenty to like about it. Hopefully, the full version will come out soon. Check out the demo now.
